 Terms and Conditions

 Education Abroad China wants to do everything to make sure your trip is enjoyable and worry – free. Every effort will be made to carry out the program as planned, but alterations may still occur. Participants should be aware that no refunds will be made as a result of unforeseen changes, modifications, or delays. Please take a moment to read our general terms and related conditions below carefully.
 
Price 
Price is quoted for one person based on two people sharing a hotel room or a ship cabin. Price listed is in effect at time of pricing and is subject to change without notice.

 

 

                
 
Reservation and Payment 
A deposit is required to reserve a spot on our education programs or China trips. The deposit amount is US$200/per person to be paid for the education program and China tour confirmation. The final payment is due 45 days prior to the departure date. For trips booked less than 45 days prior to trip departure, complete payment is required at time of booking. If a customer fails to make full payment for the trip 45 days prior to departure, Education Abroad China reserves the right to cancel the tour and retain the original deposit. The confirmation deposit is nonrefundable in the case of cancellation. 
 
Cancellation policy:
All cancellations must be submitted in writing to Education Abroad China by FAX, letter or email. Cancellation charges are based upon the date of receipt of cancellation written notice and are stated below:

30 – 22 days prior to departure                          35% of the tour cost
21 – 8 days prior to departure                           50% of the tour cost

Less than 2 days or no show                                      No refund 
Portions of land arrangements, hotel accommodations or any other service or feature of the tour which are not used are neither refundable nor exchangeable for the traveler who terminates the trip on his or her own personal reason. Trip cancellation insurance is highly recommended.
 
Itinerary Changes
Although every effort will be made to keep attractions and hotels as they are shown in the itinerary, Education Abroad China reserves the right to substitute them due to weather, traffic or any other conditions beyond our control such as a strike, fire, acts of government, riot, etc. In such cases, we will do everything we can to make sure the visits and hotels offered are similar to the ones originally planned. Any changes to itinerary will not result in eligibility for a refund. 

 

                
 
Gratuities:
Gratuities for the tour manager, local tour guides and drivers are not included in the price of the trip. The amount of the gratuity is entirely subject to your satisfaction with your trip experience.
 
Travel Protection Plan
We highly recommend that you obtain trip protection and purchase travel insurance before your trip. When you leave your home country, your health care policy may cease to provide coverage. You can purchase travel insurance through your current insurance provider or seek a company specializing in travel insurance for a temporary policy 
 
We Appreciate Feedback and Suggestions
We encourage you to send us pictures and reflections from your adventure. We are interested in what you liked and disliked. Your suggestions will help us perfect our trips and eventually help you. We also are curious about your impressions of China. How is China different from what you previously thought? This way we will learn if we are successful in our effort to facilitate understanding of this diverse and complex nation.
 
Responsibilities
Education Abroad China acts only as agent for the various carriers for which tickets are provided and assumes no responsibility or liability in connection with the service of any aircraft, train, vessel, motor vehicle or other conveyance which may be used either wholly or part, in the performance of their duty to the passenger. Neither will EAC be held responsible for any injury, loss, accident, or delay which may occur on behalf of a hotel, airline, or train company. However, the case of an injury, loss, accident, or delay, EAC can provide assistance to our clients in order to resolve the issue.  In the event it becomes necessary or advisable for the comfort or well being of the passengers, or for any reason whatsoever, to alter itinerary or arrangements, such alterations may be made without penalty to the operators. The right is reserved to withdraw any or all tours should conditions warrant, also to decline to accept or retain any passengers as members for the tours. In such instances, full or equitable amounts will be refunded. Refunds for unused carrier tickets may be only in accordance with the regulations of the carrier.
